Langella 'to star' in Wall Street

Langella was last seen on the big screen in Frost/Nixon in 2008

Oscar-nominated actor Frank Langella is to join the cast of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, according to trade magazine Variety.

The sequel to the hit 1987 film will see Michael Douglas reprise his role as ruthless stockbroker Gordon Gekko.

Shia LaBeouf takes over from Charlie Sheen as the young, ambitious Bud Fox.

Langella, 71, is in talks to play Lewis Zabel, one of Fox's mentors. The actor was nominated for an Oscar for his turn as President Nixon in Frost/Nixon.

Oliver Stone, who directed the original Wall Street, returns to direct the sequel.

Langella will next be seen alongside Cameron Diaz and James Marsden in thriller The Box and drama All Good Things with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Ryan Gosling and Kirsten Dunst.
